We are a private billing practice
Eligible patients such as Pensioners, Current Concession Card Holders and Children 15 years and under are bulk billed during regular and after hours including Saturdays.
ALL PATIENTS will be charged a consult fee with Medicare rebate applied automatically.
We thank you for your continued support.

A fee of $30.00 will be charged for non- attendances or cancellations made less than 4 hours prior to appointment time.

Payments, Charges and Rebates
All fees carry Medicare rebate and applied at the time of payment
Preventative Health and Chronic Care plans will be Bulk Billed for eligible patients.

Clinical Procedures
All Skin & Clinical Procedures will require a booking fee of $120 PRIOR to appt. There is no Medicare rebate on booking fees.
If your appointment is rescheduled for whatever reason, the booking fee will be applied to the new appointment.
There are no refunds on booking fees.

Walk-ins:
Walk in patients may see the next available doctor if there are less than six appointments for that hour. Practice staff should advise them of the approximate waiting time and that patients with an appointment will be seen first.

Telephone requests for referrals
Patients at times will telephone or call in and ask for a referral letter to a specialist. It is the policy of the Murrumbateman Health Hub that all patients are required to make an appointment with a doctor for a referral letter.

Telephone requests for repeat prescriptions
For regular medications, patients are encouraged to ensure that they have enough repeat prescriptions before leaving the surgery, to ensure continuity of medication until their next scheduled visit.
Patients at times will telephone or call in and ask for repeat prescriptions. It is the policy of this practice that patients are provided with a repeat prescription without a doctor’s consultation on request. This will be at the doctor’s discretion.

Patients who have not attended the practice within a one-month period must schedule an appointment to see the doctor.
Non- Medicare rebated services:
Any services that are not health related cannot be billed to Medicare as they are a private affair/ insurance related. Some of those services are as listed below. You will not have a rebate from Medicare for availing these services.
Workers Compensation claims:
All workers compensation claims MUST HAVE written approval for claim at time of consult. If claim has not yet been approved, patient will be charged a private fee and will be required to claim reimbursement from Insurance Company. Workers Compensation will not be accepted without a letter of approval and a claim number.
(Pre-) Employment medical:
Murrumbateman Health Hub provides pre-employment medicals. An appropriate length appointment should be made after discussing the extent of the details of examination required by the employer. These appointments cannot be booked online. Please confirm with reception if employer is paying for appointment.
